The Programs
“BOSTON-GTR-EQ FOR NEBULA PRO” is a collection of 19 programs,
all sampled at 96kHz and tested to retain accuracy at 44.1kHz and 48kHz sample rates with the latest
version of Nebula3 Pro.
You must be using an updated version of Nebula Pro Commercial for this collection.
It is designed to be used with the “Reverb” instance of Neb Pro.
Program Description:
Under this category, there are the sub-categories “ONE, TWO, and ALL.”
“ONE” contains 12 programs, one for each individual frequency.
“TWO” provides you with six programs of ‘pairs,’ which allows you to load two interactive frequency bands at a time.
“ALL” provides a single program with all 12 frequency bands on a single controller.
All programs are in “clean” mode, meaning that they do not contain any harmonic distortion. This eq is designed to only
affect frequencies and to allow the distortion/overdrive pedal and/or guitar/instrument amp to provide the desired distortion effects.

About the “BOSTON-GTR-EQ FOR NEBULA PRO”
“[…]a couple of years ago we designed a graphic equalizer. Now, how crazy is that?
There are dozens of them on the market, but there was not a single one that could be used with a guitar level signal,
was footswitcheable, had a decent signal-to-noise ratio, and could give better than an octave resolution.
We tried to modify existing units, but finally gave up and designed the stupid thing so we would have what we needed.”
(Tom Scholz in Guitar World, Feb. 90).
Use an individual band, pairs of bands, or a program with all 12 bands on a single dial.
You decide the best way to set up your session.
If you wish to use multiple frequencies on a single guitar track or a stereo track, you can do so in parallel by placing NebPro on the first track and load the
first “TWO” program from BTQ. duplicate the track and change the program to the next two frequencies you wish to use on the same track.
You can also create bus groups with the bands loaded and send tracks to each bus as desired.
For maximum flexibility, you can load one instance or multiple instances before your guitar amp setup and also after, so that the natural tone of the guitar
is being eq’d going to your rig, whether hardware or vst, and once it is processed it can be eq’d after your rig as well. You may find that the easiest way to do this
is to
The “BOSTON-GTR-EQ FOR NEBULA PRO” offers a total of 19 programs for maximum flexibility in reproducing the authentic EQ used
by Tom Scholz, legendary guitarist for Boston.
To describe the purpose and use of this excellent, clean eq, let me share the words of Mr. Scholz himself:
Scholz is responsible for those unmistakable guitar tones from some of the best rock tracks of the 1980’s, which remain
among the most memorable and treasured classics to this day. This release provides you with the eq that he designed to achieve
these tones which he personally tracked to tape. You can use these tones directly from your guitar into your choice of
amps, combo’s, and vst guitar rigs, and you can also use it post-distortion, in a loop. Get the most tone shaping from using it
before and after distortion. You can choose individual bands, paired groups, and all 12 of them on a single controller for maximum
flexibility and resource use in your DAW. Place these in parallel with duplicate tracks to recreate the exact behavior of the eq, or
use in any manner that fits your own tone-shaping process.
I truly hope that this collection adds to your enjoyment of Nebula Pro.
Thanks and God Bless You.
Sincerely,
Michael Angel
