EL8-1-1
This program provides you with the EL8 at a ratio of 1:1 using 11 Kernels of distortion. As it is defined in the hardware manual, 1:1 warms up the signal with low order harmonics without intentional compression.

EL8-1-1 CLN
This program is the same as above without any harmonic distortion. The “CLN” stands for “Clean” mode.

EL8-10-1
This program provides you with the EL8 at a ratio of 1:1 using 11 Kernels of distortion. As it is defined in the hardware manual, 10:1 uses a separate circuitry to emulate the oldest “light controlled” devices like the LA-2A.

The following information is a revision from hardware manual. This gives you an indication of the full feature set and capabilities of the EL8. This includes information of its sound structue that is captured in this NebPro Program Library, and it also contains information on compression controls that are only found in the hardware, which you can use from a software emulated.
The hardware EL8 is unique, in that it, in itself, is an emulator. It contains special features and circuit Modes created specifically to model the behavior of a range of analog devices.

Emphasized tube-like 2nd harmonic distortion in Distort 2 Mode.
3rd order dominant harmonic distortion, similar to tape, in Distort 3 Mode.
Side chain EQ with high mid band emphasis to reduce harsh, edgy guitars or vocals.
