    Installation

    For PC Users:

    Use the included installer to select your NebulaTempRepository Folder to install
    the collection there. Or, you can simply copy all "n2p" files to your
    Nebula "Programs" folder and copy all "n2v" files to your "Vectors" folder.

    For Mac Users:

    Copy all "n2p" files to your Nebula "Programs" folder and copy all "n2v" files to your "Vectors" folder.

    “The TUBE-TREK-CL-1B-PREAMP COLLECTION For Nebula Pro” is a collection of 30 programs, all sampled at 96kHz and tested to retain accuracy at 44.1kHz and 48kHz sample rates with the latest version of Nebula3 Pro.

    You must be using an updated version of Nebula Pro Commercial for this collection.

    It is designed to be used with the “Reverb” instance of Neb Pro.

    About the “TUBE-TREK-CL-1B-PREAMP COLLECTION For Nebula Pro”


    The “TUBE-TREK-CL-1B-PREAMP COLLECTION For Nebula Pro” is designed to provide you the most authentic sound of this timeless “modern classic”, from Electronics to Electronics. This is not a library of compression programs, but is the Nebula Pro “Preamp” category of program that gives you the authentic, real electronics of the gear so that you can breath the real analog life into your processing chain.

    The CL-1B has positioned itself among the top ten compressor lists for everything from vocals to drums and all things in-between. It is a favorite of most Producers and Engineers. It has a pleasant range of coloration, with a fixed mode that provides attack at 1 msec and release at 50 msec, a manual mode with an attack range from .5 msec to 300 msec and a release range from .05 sec to 10 sec.

    What the CL-1B has that is truly unique, beyond its amazing tube character and long-lasting clarity in the compression circuitry, is its “Fixed-Manual” mode. In “Fixed-Manual” mode, the attack time remains at 1 msec, but the release curve provides a combined response. In this mode, the release processor responds quickly to immediate changes in the signal and then sends this response to the second release response, which is dependent on the time selected, which is the same range as found in manual mode. Because this has a unique affect on the overall signal balance, every combination is provided for harmonic and frequency content in the preamp collection.

    The harmonic content has been edited for every program individually, matched to the real response of the device. This is significant when added to a good quality emulator which tends to get some of this character correct regarding harmonics, but this remains stagnant and not as accurate the harder that the compression is pushed at the input. Adding the Nebula Pro program after the emulator adds the harmonics to the signal that are lost in the process, and this increases with the volume where it does not do so accurately with just the emulator. The frequency response in some emulators has some of the general shape and slope, but this generally does not change dynamically, meaning that there is one spectral shape for all settings, and thus adding the Nebula Programs brings this realism of every dynamic level to the reality of the sound.
